You enjoy answering "how do I pay in Argentina?" in a Reddit thread or Telegram group. That's the job.

About Peanut

Peanut is a money app that lets you pay MercadoPago in Argentina and PIX in Brazil. Rates are 5-25% better than your credit card. Instant payments. Works with just a passport.

We're 4 people. Product works. Users love it. Zero marketing has been done — which means there's nothing to inherit and everything to build. You'd be the first growth hire.

What you'll do

Be the helpful person in communities (50% of your time). Not posting brand content; actually being present in the spaces where nomads and expats ask payment questions. Reddit (r/digitalnomad, r/argentina, r/brazil), Telegram city groups, WhatsApp expat groups, NomadList, Facebook groups. Help people with real questions. Mention Peanut where it's the honest answer. Use AI tools to monitor 20+ channels, surface relevant threads, and draft responses for your review.

Hire and manage a content freelancer (~20%). Budget: $500-1,500/month. Find someone in Buenos Aires or Floripa who can make more content. You write the briefs ("film yourself scanning a QR at this café, show the rate comparison"), review the output, and use AI to repurpose each piece across TikTok, Reels, Twitter, and Instagram.

Hire and manage a BA ambassador (~15%). Budget: $300-600/month. Someone in Buenos Aires — ideally an existing Peanut user — who handles coworking partnerships, hostel flyer placement, and demo sessions. You set their goals and track results.

Make referral rewards visible (~15%). Referral rewards are live in the app but most users don't know. Weave them into community posts, content briefs, ambassador talking points. Propose in-app visibility improvements to the dev team.

Track what works. Set up UTM tracking. Report weekly on what channels are converting. Kill what isn't working.

Who you are

  • Community-credible. You can show real posts or comments in nomad/expat communities that got genuine engagement. You write like a person, not a brand.
  • You've been there. Lived abroad. Dealt with bad exchange rates, no local ID, sketchy money changers. You understand the payment pain firsthand.
  • You use AI daily. Not just ChatGPT — you've built workflows that produce real output. If you use AI tools every day but wouldn't put "agentic-fluent" in your bio, you might still be exactly the right person.
  • Self-directed. "Figure out what works" is motivating, not anxiety-inducing.
  • You've managed others. Even informally — freelancers, contractors, collaborators. You can write a brief, evaluate output, and give useful feedback.
  • Analytical enough. UTM links, reading a dashboard, thinking in conversion. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you need to know if something's working.
  • Nice-to-haves

  • You've grown something and can show the numbers — a community, newsletter, side project, or a startup's early user base
  • Bilingual: English + Spanish or Portuguese
  • Already active in nomad communities with existing social capital
  • Comp

  • $3,000-5,000/month + equity as the first growth hire at a 4-person company
  • Manage ~$800-2,100/month in freelancer and ambassador budget
  • Remote, async-first. Some overlap with Buenos Aires timezone (GMT-3) preferred
  • If you prove out at month 3 with growth-owner capabilities, the path to more scope and higher comp is defined from day one
  • How to apply

Don't send a resume. In the “show off” section, send:

  • Links to 3-5 community posts or comments you've made in nomad/expat spaces
  • A short note on how you'd use AI to monitor 20+ community channels as one person
