Role overview

You will own the full recruiting pipeline for engineering hires and support Corporate Operations across the company. This is not a people-management role — you help hiring managers succeed by running a world-class recruiting process end-to-end.

We use AI extensively in our workflows (Claude, automation tools), but we do not replace human interaction with candidates. Why? Because a talented engineer will never join a company based on an AI-generated message. Your job is to be fast, responsive, and genuinely compelling — combining speed with emotional intelligence to attract and close top talent.

What you’ll do

  • Sourcing & Pipeline: Build and maintain a pipeline of engineering candidates through direct sourcing, referrals, and agency management
  • Recruiting PR & Employer Branding: Create content and strategies that position Startale as a destination for top engineers
  • Screening & Interviews: Conduct first-round screening and culture-fit assessments, ensuring only aligned candidates progress
  • Candidate Experience: Be the face of Startale to candidates — fast responses, warm communication, and a seamless process from first touch to offer acceptance
  • Agency Management: Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and optimize cost/quality
  • Offer & Closing: Support hiring managers through offer negotiation and closing, maximizing offer acceptance rates
  • Corporate Operations: Plan and execute team events (workations, offsites), handle ad-hoc corporate tasks, and contribute to building company culture
  • AI-Powered Workflow: Leverage AI tools (Claude, etc.) to maximize your throughput while keeping all candidate-facing communication authentically human

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting operations, or HR with a recruiting focus
  • Track record of hiring engineers (software, infrastructure, or related technical roles)
  • Professional-level English (daily working language)
  • Currently using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) in your workflow
  • Exceptional responsiveness — you reply fast and follow through faster
  • Strong interpersonal skills — you connect with people, read situations, and communicate with warmth
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership without waiting for direction

Nice to have

  • Experience recruiting for financial services or fintech companies
  • Familiarity with global hiring (multiple jurisdictions, visa considerations)
  • Event planning or office operations experience

Not Required

  • Blockchain industry experience (we'll teach you)
  • People management experience (this is an IC role supporting managers)
